If you’re heading to Singapore before 14 August, 2016 then this is an exhibition worth putting on the top of your ‘to do’ list.
There are over 450 pieces of jewellery from the Van Cleef & Arpels Collection on display. You will have the opportunity to get a close up look at the mind blowing designs and the exquisite stones that adorn them. In need of background information? Check out GRACIE post by clicking here.
‘With a history that spans 110 years, Van Cleef & Arpels opened its first boutique at Place Vendôme in Paris in 1906. Renowned for its creativity and inventiveness, designs such as the Zip necklace and the Maison’s signature Mystery Set technique have become icons in the jewellery world.’ The Jewellery Editor.
Also on display are 250 rare gems and minerals from the well known collection of the French National Museum of Natural History.
Children are catered for as well – activities include a workshop making your own jewellery out of cardboard.
If you’re not going anywhere near Singapore in time, then check out the website and take a fabulous tour of the exhibition. Learn how the gems we lust after all started with the big bang.
