Heads swivelled and eyes grew wide when Lady Kitty Spencer, niece of Lady Di and cousin of Prince Harry, arrived at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor for his marriage to Meghan Markle. Wearing an emerald green hand-painted Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda dress topped with a Philip Treacy fascinator and adorned with jewellery from Bulgari, Lady Kitty simply stunned all in her path.
Kitty’s unquestionable beauty owes much to her parental genes. Her mother, model Victoria Lockwood, married Earl Spencer in 1989 but divorced when Kitty was six. She and her twin siblings and brother moved to Cape Town with their mother but remained closely connected to their father at Althrop, the Spencer family home.
Kitty’s personal style is quietly understated. She happily admits to a large shoe collection that favours heals, with sneakers for the gym, but definitely not for the street. Her time spent studying in Florence has left her loving all things Italian.
Almost immediately after the royal wedding, Kitty was signed to be the face of Bulgari and with Dolce & Gabbana as brand ambassador. Initially ‘terrified’ at the prospect of her catwalk debut. She states how reassured she was by the brand’s emphasis on body-positivity and describes that first show as “the start of a confidence-building exercise”.
Kitty works energetically to support many charities that encompass youth suicide prevention, youth homelessness and British military families. She guards her private life wisely but admits to one day in the future wanting to be married with children and having a happy family. For now, though, we can expect to find her in many more fashion shoots and why not, when she radiates such feminine beauty.
