DIY eyelash dying has always seemed tricky and daring, but extraordinary times call for brave moves and so we ventured to try 1000 Hour Lash & Brow Dye and discovered just how easy this is to do. Minimum effort, maximum impact. Let this be your new little secret.
We chose the blue black shade from a selection of eight colour choices. The kit comes with detailed instructions and all your needs. However, you will need to have Vaseline or similar on hand for securing the eye protection papers, as well as cotton pads and buds.
It’s important to wipe your eyelids and lashes free from any makeup or excess oil. Assemble all your supplies together. A magnified mirror and a good light makes for easy application.
As you can see, the kit comes with a tube of cream colour, liquid developer, the soft paper under-eye shields, a white wand for mixing and a mascara wand for easy application. The indentation on the kit housing provides a useful dish for mixing the colour and developer as detailed in the instructions. This can take a little time to blend smoothly.
Applying the dye is as easy as applying mascara. Be sure to do both under and over the lashes and tame any offending strays as these are usually fair and once dyed will enhance and define the eyes.
The instructions recommend allowing ten minutes for the dye to develop. We gave it fifteen.
